The Entrance exam has very important role in a student’s life to move forward in the desire career & have better career opportunities as the entrance exams are done to select the eligible candidate for the government sectors either for higher education or job. The concept of entrance exam is to select the candidate based on Minimum Marks obtain by the candidate to crack the exam.

IIT JEE (Indian Institute of Technology- Joint Entrance Examination) Exam:

IIT JEE exam is the annual engineering college entrance examination in India conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and hence called IIT JEE (Joint Entrance Examination). It is among the one of the toughest engineering entrance exam conducted in India after class 12th. Students apply for the exam seeking admission in IITs & NIITs for Graduate programs.

IIT JEE is conducted in two parts:

  • IIT JEE Mains
  • IIT JEE Advance

Eligibility of IIT JEE: Candidates appearing for Class 12th and 12th pass students with minimum 75% marks in PCM are eligible for the exam.

Exam Date:  IIT JEE Mains exam will be conducted in the month of the April.

UPSC (Union Public Service Commission)-Civil Services Exam:

The UPSC exam is conducted for recruitment to various Civil Services of the Government of India. It is the toughest exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. The services come in three categories they are:

  • Indian Administrative Service (IAS)
  • Indian Foreign Service (IFS)
  • Indian Police Service (IPS)
  • Indian P & T Accounts & Finance Service, Group ‘A’.
  • Indian Audit and Accounts Service, Group ‘A’. Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Central Excise), Group ‘A’.
  • Indian Defense Accounts Service, Group ‘A’.
  • Indian Revenue Service (I.T.), Group ‘A’.
  • Indian Ordnance Factories Service, Group ‘A’ (Assistant Works Manager, administration).
  • Indian Postal Service, Group ‘A’.

 

Eligibility: The candidate should have bachelor’s degree with the minimum age of 21 years.

Exam Date:  The date of preliminary examination is in the month of June.

CAT (Common Admission Test) Entrance Exam:

CAT is a Common Admission Test conducted for the admission in the various prestigious College of Management for the post-graduation degree in Management.

CAT Exam is a computer-based test conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs).

The selection procedure for CAT is conducted in 3 steps:

  • Group Discussion (GD)
  • Written Ability Test (WAT)
  • Personal Interview (PI)

Eligibility: Applicants must have bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks

Exam Date:  The exam will be conducted in the month of November.

GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test of Engineering) Entrance Exam:

GATE is a national level entrance exam conducted for the admission of the candidate in the post-graduate program in Master of Engineering, Master of Technology, Doctor of Philosophy. GATE score card is used by other public and private sectors. GATE score card is valid for 3 years from the date of result declaration.

GATE Exam Phase: GATE exam is conducted online.

Eligibility: The candidate with the bachelor’s degree or post-graduation degree can apply for GATE.

Exam Date: The exam is conducted in the month of February.

AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) Exam:

AIIMS MBBS entrance exam is conducted for the medical student and it is the most competitive undergraduate medical exam for admission to MBBS programs offered in AIIMS and six other AIIMS Bhopal, Patna, Rishikesh, Bhubaneswar, Raipur, and Jodhpur.

Eligibility: The candidate must have cleared 12th with the aggregate of 60% in English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Exam Date: AIIMS conducts in the single entrance test in the month of June.

UGC NET (University Grant Commission- National Eligibility Test) Exam:

UGC NET exam is conducted by the University Grant Commission to check the eligibility of the candidate for the post of Assistant Professor and Research Fellowship. Earlier the exam was conducted twice the year and now from recent notification released the exam will be conducted once in the year. The UGC NET exam conducted in the 100 subjects.

The test will be consisting of three papers:

  • Paper I
  • Paper II
  • Paper III

Eligibility: Candidates having Master’s degree from the Indian University/ Institute in the subject Chosen for NET Exam

Exam Date: UGC NET Exam will be conducted in the month of November.

CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) Entrance Exam:

The Common Law Admission Test is conducted for Undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate degree programs like LLB and LLM from the National Law Universities in India. The test scores are valid and accepted by several other colleges which consider it a benchmark score.

The CLAT exam is a computer based test and the exam is done for 200 marks.

Eligibility: Candidates for Under Graduation should have the aggregate of 45 % marks in 12th and candidate for Post-Graduation courses should have the aggregate of 55% marks in LLB and equivalent Examination.

Exam Date: CLAT Exam is conducted in the month of May.
