What is IELTS Test:
PTE stands for Pearson Test of English measures the English language proficiency of candidates where the medium of communication is English. PTE is the only entrance exam which is fully computerized for who want to study abroad and immigration across the world. It is unbiased English testing assesses the four skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing. It lasts approximately 3 hours and provides a score based on the Global Scale of English. The purpose of PTE Exam is whether the student is proficient enough to communally survive in the college or migrate to an English speaking country. Australia and New Zealand Governments are accepting it for VISA purposes
There are 3 types of PTE exams – PTE General, PTE Academic and PTE Young Learners. Any person whose native language is not English and wants to study abroad can take the exam

Types of the IELTS test:
PTE General:
PTE General Test is a theme-based examination formed to examine how exactly the candidate can communicate in English in real-life and authentic situations of life. PTE Exam is conducted only for improvements in the English language. Only a few countries are accepting PTE General qualification for admission purpose.
Eligibility: Anyone can take PTE general exam as there is no suggestive age limit or qualification as such required.
Validity: There is no expiration or validity period for PTE General Score the score is valid for a lifetime.
PTE Academic:
PTE Academic is endorsed by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) was launched in 2009. It is a computer-based examination formed to assess the exam takers readiness to undertake a university program from a native English speaking country. Most of the universities are accepting the PTE Academic score for admission purpose.
Candidate must acquire C1 or C2 level fluency to apply for being able to be accepted at foreign universities. The PTE General is not accepted for VISA purposes. Only Estonia, Switzerland, Argentina, Poland, Spain, Colombia, Ecuador, UK, Ukraine, Greece Vietnam, Czech Republic, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, and Mexico are accepting PTE General as their entrance exam requirement.
Eligibility: Candidate must be at least 18 years or older. If his/her age is below 18 years then need to submit a consent letter from their parents or guardian.
Validity: The PTE Academic score is valid for 2 years. After 2 years, the test scores are automatically removed from the website.
PTE Young Learners:
PTE Young Learners formerly known as London Tests of English for Children specifically are or between the age group of 7 to 12. The test is formed to assess the ability of children who are learning English as a foreign language.
Eligibility: PTE Young Learner test is formed for children specifically are or between the age group of 7 to 12.
Validity: There is no validity date as such.
PTE Exam Dates:
- Candidates have facility to book their slots as per their convenience.
- PTE can be taken throughout the year.
- Candidates can register ownself 24 hours prior to the exam day.
- Its is advised to the candidate that they should book their slot 10 – 15 days before the test as the test centers are allotted in first come first serve basis.

PTE Exam is divided into Listening, Reading Comprehension and Writing. PTE General Exam scores are calculated based on 6 levels of assessment: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2 which are based on The Common European Framework of the Reference grading system.

Yes, candidates can reschedule their PTE exam booking. Login to the PTE account using username and password. there will be a scheduled test with an option to cancel or reschedule the exam. 25% fee is to be paid for new test dates if rescheduling is done 7 days prior to the test,
What is the cancellation fee for PTE exam?
If the candidate cancels before 7 days, 50 % fee is refunded. but is cancellation is done in 7 days or less before the exam, they will not refund in any form whatsoever?
What is the passing score of PTE?
Overall score range is 10 to 90 points in PTE. Scores are based on performance in all the components and subsections.
Can two PTE test be booked at a time?
In PTE Exam, there is no restriction on the number of attempts. Candidates can multiple attempts . If he or she is not satisfied with their results. Though the candidate should wait for the result given test before booking another one.
What is the validity of PTE scores?
PTE scores are valid for a period of 2 years.
Is there negative marking in PTE ?
There is negative marking in Only 3 sections:
1.Multiple choice questions in reading
2.Multiple choice questions in listening
3.Highlight incorrect words.
