How to become a Nutritionist and Dietitians after 12th:
After 12th, Candidate can opt for a nutrition course. There are many programmes available at the graduate and postgraduate level. At Delhi University, the entry point is BSc Home Science, that is Food & Nutrition is one subject. There are two bachelor degree types of programmes: BSc Home Science(Pass) and BSc Home Science(Honors). In BSc Home Science (Hons), a candidate can specialise can become Food Nutritionist and Dietitians in the second and third year. Whereas in the Pass programme, there is no specialization. The Honours programme admits only students from science backgrounds as its subjects include Zoology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Physics and Botany.
If Candidate is not good in subjects like physics, biology, chemistry in the 12th class, then you have to struggle with the course curriculum. The top best two colleges in Delhi are Lady Irwin and Institute of Home Economics. These colleges allow students from both science and non-science backgrounds. You should look into the course curriculum and syllabus of these institute closely before taking admission.
At the postgraduate level, Candidate either can do a one-year Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics and Public Health Nutrition (DDPHN) or can do a two-year Master’s programme.

A fresher can get salary between Rs. 15,000 to 20,000 per month. After gaining a good experience of 2 to 3 years, Candidarte may touch Rs 35,000 plus.
